Annasach (Gaelic for unusual, unconventional) are a three-piece Scottish ceilidh band plus dance caller based in Edinburgh and Glasgow and has been playing for ceilidhs, parties, birthdays, folk festivals and weddings since 1990 throughout Scotland and the UK as well as Germany, Portugal, France, and Switzerland!  We have a solid reputation, providing an energetic vibrant sound to entertain your guests.

The sound of the band has a more folk based slant rather than traditional ceilidh with the current line-up being fiddle, piano and bass.  This provides an energetic, vibrant sounding front line mixed with a forceful, funky piano and bass back line.

We have a dedicated dance caller, Tricia (probably the most important member of the band!), who has years of experience and is guaranteed to calm any nerves and make sure that everyone enjoys themselves.

Annasach are not an agency so what you see is what you get! You are dealing with the musicians directly and we know how important the music is to your event for generating the perfect atmosphere.
